Misonix, a developer of ultrasonic medical device technology, has entered into a new, three year exclusive distribution agreement with Cormedica, under which Cormedica is provided with the rights to sell distribute the BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutter throughout France.
The BoneScalpel is a tissue specific osteotomy device capable of making precise cuts through bone and hard tissue while largely preserving delicate soft tissue structures and offers the convenience and speed of a power instrument without the safety issues often associated with rotary sharps.
Misonix president and chief executive officer Michael McManus said that Misonix is pleased to add Cormedica to their growing family of specialty distributors and their reputation as a successful distributor of medical equipment in France is well known to them.
“Their success in introducing medical devices was appealing to Misonix and we are excited that they will be selling BoneScalpel through their extensive neuro-spine distribution network,” McManus said.
