Menicon, a manufacturer of lens care solutions, is set to launch its new disposable contact lens flat pack- Magic.
The disposable contact lens are packed in wafer-thin and hygienic flat-pack with minimum thickness and provides ease of use during storage.
The Magic flat pack sandwiches the lens between two specially designed foil sheets.
In the flat-pack, contact lens outer surface is exposed first ensuring to reduce touching the inner surface of the lens, thus preventing bacteria or debris from coming into contact with the cornea.
Magic uses 2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate-Glycerol Methacrylate( HEMA-GMA ), a lens material which provides superior water retention.
The lens has a base curve of 8.60 mm and a diameter of 14.2 mm.
