
In March 2014, the Flex Robotic System also received CE mark approval to market it in the European counties.

Flex Robotic System is claimed to be the first and only robot-assisted surgical platform with a flexible scope for use during transoral procedures. Its initial applications include mouth and throat.
It features a flexible and robotic scope, which precisely moves through the body’s natural twists and turns.
The scope becomes rigid to form a stable surgical platform, once surgeon reaches the desired vantage point.
The on-board and high definition vision system is said to make it easy to see and operate with a range of flexible surgical instruments. The wristed 3mm Flex Instruments helps surgeon to operate precisely in confined spaces.
Medrobotics is currently involved in making the product commercially available to hospitals in the US.
