Medpace has purchased MediTech Strategic Consultants, an European contract research organization which provides services to support medical device clinical trials.
Under the acquisition, Medpace will add MediTech to its existing medical device business to expand the development of trial designs and regulatory strategies towards European CE mark.
Medpace president and CEO August Troendle said the acquisition has also included Carla Kikken-Jussen, MediTech’s president and CEO, and the MediTech team into the company.
"MediTech’s expertise complements and broadens our global medical device service offering," Troendle added.
"MediTech is well respected in both Europe and the US and this strategic acquisition fully supports Medpace’s growth and provides our sponsors a wide range of regulatory and clinical expertise across North America and Europe along with expanded operational capacity."
MediTech said it has supported clinical trials on various devices including ophthalmology, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and pulmonology.
