Medi-Stim ASA (Medi-Stim), a Norway-based medical devices company, has appointed Kari Eian Krogstad as its new chief executive officer (CEO) replacing Arne Grip, effective September 1, 2009. She has an extensive background from various senior management positions within marketing, business development and management in Nycomed and Dynal. Her latest position was as CEO in Invitrogen Dynal where she has played a key role in the growth and success of the company since 2005.

Kari Eian Krogstad holds a M.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Oslo as well as a Marketing degree from IHM Business School. Arne Grip wishes to scale down after more than 20 years in the company. Arne Grip will continue to support MediStim with his extensive knowledge which he will do on a long-term consultant basis. Arne Grip can look back upon the enormous success of the development of MediStim’s system for intraoperative quality control in cardiovascular surgical interventions. This commitment has been instrumental in the achievement of the high level of success MediStim is experiencing.
