Medisafe 1 Technologies, a developer of patented technologies that physically prevent unauthorised administration of prescription medications, is set to hold an official demonstration of its barcoded syringe locking-device at Israel's National Ministry of Health on 29 November.

Medisafe’s patented technology is a medical assembly with a locking mechanism that is intended to ensure the substance cannot be released from the hypodermic needle without positive pre-matching between the substance and its intended patient.

The demonstration will show precisely how the Medisafe 1 device prevents the improper administration of a particular medicine or dosage to a patient, if that dosage is not electronically verified.

Medisafe 1 Technologies CEO Jacob Elhadad said that they are pleased that officials from the Ministry of Health are taking the time to learn about Medisafe 1 Technologies’ life-saving device, and hopeful that the Ministry will consider the inherent cost-benefits of mandating the use of their technology at hospitals across the country.
