MET CEO Mark Turner said: “We are more than doubling our space for ISO 10993-18 material characterisation studies and adding over 50% to our physical testing area for medical device performance testing. This will allow us to expand our exemplary service to more clients across the globe. We are all really proud of this development.”

The new laboratories will offer simulated use extraction, leachables and exhaustive extraction technologies combined with GC-MS, HPLC-MS, HPLC-TOF and many other analysis techniques for materials characterisation. On the physical side there will be increased capacity for product performance testing.

The construction work has commenced, and is scheduled for completion in February next year. The work is at MET’s headquarters, sited in Dover, UK. From this site we deliver excellence in medical device testing to clients across the globe. Our reports have been reviewed by regulatory authorities east and west. The new facilities will meet the growing demand in this market.
