MDoloris Medical Systems and Mindray have secured the CE Mark approval for the Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI)-MR module.

The companies have also unveiled their plans to launch the ANI-MR module in Europe.

ANI-MR module is developed by MDoloris as a solution for integration into Mindray’s BeneVision N Series patient monitoring devices.

The integration is aimed at providing clinicians using the Mindray’s BeneVision N Series monitoring platform, with ANI parameter.

MDoloris Medical Systems CEO and founder Fabien Pagniez said: “Obtaining the CE Mark under the new Medical Device Regulation for our ANI MR module is a critical milestone for Mdoloris.

“The upcoming launch of the module by our partner Mindray will be a major step forward, considerably strengthening MDoloris’ reach into thousands of Operating Rooms in Europe.

“This partnership will allow each clinician using the BeneVision N Series patient monitors from Mindray to get access to our ANI technology and its clinical outcomes.”

ANI is a parameter obtained from the Heart Rate Variability, that guides the clinicians to titrate their analgesics during the surgery and anesthesia.

The approach is said to improve postoperative pain, PONV scores, shivering scores, and reduce post-operative opioids use, hospital stays, and Montreal scales values.

Montreal scale is a measure used in assessment of post-operative cognitive disorders.

MDoloris is a French company engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing, and marketing medical equipment.

It provides clinicians with continuous and non-invasive surgical stress monitoring medical devices for monitoring patient’s parasympathetic tone.

Mindray is a Chinese company, involved in developing, manufacturing, and marketing medical instrumentation worldwide.

Mindray patient monitoring and life support business unit general manager Jian Cen said: “The new ANI-MR module can be seamlessly integrated into our flagship BeneVision N Series patient monitors.

“With clinical needs in mind, Mindray is dedicated to building a comprehensive and innovative bedside information platform through our BeneVision N Series patient monitoring system.

“This platform is future-proof, as it will continuously integrate more innovative technologies to empower clinicians worldwide to make professional and accurate decisions.”
