Barcelona-based neurosurgical centre Neuroinstitut Oliver-Ayats has bought one of the systems, making it the first Renaissance system to be purchased in the country.
According to Mazor, the system is expected to be installed at a leading neurosurgical center in the Spanish city.
The second Renaissance system has been purchased by a hospital in Indiana, making it the first system to be purchased in the US state.
Mazor Robotics CEO Ori Hadomi said: "I am very pleased with the momentum we are experiencing both in the US and the international markets.
"In Europe we continue to see opportunities and this is the first Renaissance system in Spain, while in the US, we are expanding Mazor’s presence into new markets."
The company’s Renaissance Guidance system can be used by doctors in a spine program to improve the execution and outcomes in various procedures, including minimally invasive and percutaneous degenerative repair, pedicle screw fixation for complex spinal deformity, and vertebral augmentation.
