Mabis DMI Healthcare, a subsidary of Briggs Medical Service company, has changed its name to Briggs Healthcare.
In 2004, Briggs Medical Service company purchased DMS Holdings which included Mabis DMI Healthcare, Gam Industries, Stein’s Professional Foot Care and Protekto.
The company decided to change the name to leverage Briggs’ history of product innovation and operational excellence in the healthcare industry.
Briggs Healthcare provides durable medical equipment, home healthcare, medical records, obstetrics and branded products.
Briggs Healthcare Sales & Marketing executive senior vice president Alan Yefsky said their new name will help strengthen recognition in the healthcare marketplace and help eliminate customer confusion that in the past stemmed from dealing with multiple company names.
"These various entities are now all under the Briggs Healthcare umbrella as brands in our diverse product portfolio," Yefsky said.
