M5 Medical, which provides service, sales, support and consulting in the five major modalities of radiology (PET, NM, CT, MR, and US), has agreed to sell Mirada Medical’s XD3 advanced imaging software for oncology assessment and follow-up.

Mirada Medical develops clinical software applications for diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, tumor board and elsewhere.

Mirada Medical said XD3 provides users with fusion of any combination of vendor neutral CT, PET, MR and SPECT images at a fraction of the cost of a hybrid system.

XD3’s tri-modal fusion allows users to fuse an MR scan with a PET/CT scan and enables users to assess tumors and soft tissue abnormalities that are better visualized with MR than with CT.

Additionally, Mirada’s optimized CT-CT deformable registration aligns images taken across multiple time points.

The XD3 software can be acquired as a software package, integrated with a workstation or with any of the M5 Medical high quality refurbished systems (PET, CT, MRI, and SPECT).
