Linde Gas North America has acquired all the assets and business of US-based firm, The Service Center.

Based in Broadview of Illinois, The Service Center offers medical oxygen and respiratory equipment repair services to healthcare providers in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the US.

The company also operates facilities in Southfield of Michigan, and Greenville of South Carolina.

Its primary services comprised of medical oxygen transfilling, cylinder requalification and repair and respiratory equipment repair.

Linde Healthcare head Maria Iglesias said: “The purchase of The Service Center is part of Linde’s commitment to expand our services to meet our customers.

“Combining The Service Center’s customer-focused culture and capabilities with Linde’s world class line of medical gases and devices create significant advantages that enhance and broaden our services.”

The Service Center president Jeff Addante said: “Over its 19 year history, The Service Center has identified, built and refined a business model that brings real value to our customers.”

Last October, Linde Healthcare launched a therapeutic oxygen cylinder in the US to improve patient safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

The LIV IQ package includes a valve with an integrated pressure regulator, flow selector, flow outlet, pressure outlet and digital display.

It is also installed with several visible and audible alerts, which enables to increase patient safety in mobile oxygen therapy.
