Lighthouse Imaging, a provider of optical engineering and design services, has launched Endobench XTB, a third-generation portable endoscope tester.
Endobench facilitates hospitals and surgical centers to measure the optical characteristics and performance of endoscopes when new, between procedures, and before and after repair.
Endobench XTB incorporates various endoscopic configurations including offset and angle eyepieces.
It measures optical parameters such as image sharpness (MTF), image transmission, distortion, coloration, fiberoptics illumination brightness and distribution, and eyepiece diopter error.
The new tester includes an opto-mechanical system and software to assess and report the parameters to provide quantitative measurement data to monitor scope performance.
TheEndobench is also equipped with adapters and fixtures which is used for measuring rigid, flexible, and video endoscopes.
