US based Life Technologies, a provider of innovative life science solutions, has launched a regional distribution hub in Singapore to address customer demand in the Asia Pacific regions of India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Life Technologies’ new Asia Distribution Center (ADC), located in Singapore’s Tuas Biomedical Park, will provide customers with systems, consumables and services that enable researchers to accelerate scientific and medical advancements.

Life Technologies chairman and CEO Gregory Lucier said by locating the Asia Distribution Center in Singapore, they can bring their innovative technologies more efficiently to their customers in the region and help translate their research into real-world applications.

The ISO 13485 certified ADC was set up in August 2010 and adopts a hub-and-spoke model, with Singapore as the regional hub for Life Technologies’ product distribution throughout Asia, excluding Japan. The facility spans a built-up area of 62,300 square feet (5,790 square meters).

Life Technologies manufactures both molecular diagnostic and research use only products.
