Life Spine has successfully completed initial cases with the Octave Posterior Fusion System, which is intended for attachment to the spinous processes for the purpose of achieving fusion in conjunction with bone graft.

Life Spine said Octave System’s core design maximises graft containment volume while the aggressive fixation spikes allow for increased stability between the spinous process and the implant and it is the 16th product family brought to market to date by Life Spine.

The minimally invasive system, which has received the US Food and Drug Administration 510(k) marketing clearance recently, expands the Centric MIS Technology Suite, Life Spine said.

Hoffman Estates, Illinois based Life Spine improves the quality of life for spinal patients by increasing procedural efficiency and efficacy through design, quality standards, and the technologically advanced manufacturing platforms.
