Life Spine marketing and business development vice president Mariusz Knap said: “Clinical Studies are the foundation for advancing innovative spine care and Life Spine is committed to a robust investment into clinical studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of our products, as well as demonstrating possible medical economic savings and advantages associated with new technologies such as PROLIFT.”

PROLIFT Expandable Interbody System allows for in-situ disc height restoration for micro-invasive PLIF, traditional TLIF and oblique TLIF approaches. PROLIFT also incorporates the proprietary surface technology OSSEO-LOC and multiple lordotic options which provide the surgeon the ability to restore normal spinal pelvic parameters.

The clinical study principal investigator Ahmed Khan said: “Expandable interbodies have been effective to restore or maintain lumbar lordosis and disc height with reduced iatrogenic impact. However, outcome studies need to be performed to allay clinical ethicists and evaluate long-term patient outcomes.”
