US-based laboratory testing company Labcorp has rolled out a new online platform that allows its customers to directly purchase the Labcorp OnDemand tests online.
In addition to the tests, the platform will also facilitate at-home samples collection, and schedule test appointments at its patient service centres (PSCs), said the life sciences firm.
The OnDemand platform includes a collection of Labcorp’s wellness, allergy, Covid-19, women’s health and fertility tests, to help people better manage their health.
Labcorp executive vice president and chief marketing officer Amy Summy said: “Labcorp OnDemand makes it easier for individuals to access our leading diagnostic tests online.
“The OnDemand platform is an intuitive experience where individuals can purchase tests online and choose from multiple options to take the test, including in the comfort of their own home.
“The platform, in addition to our leading Ovia Health digital apps, offers consumers market-leading solutions, backed by over 50 years of science and innovation, to make confident health decisions.”
Labcorp OnDemand contains several offerings to improve the health and wellness of people, with its tests providing users the required information to manage their health.
The platform also benefits women looking for family planning through vitamin B12 and folate tests, ovarian reserve tests and quantitative hCG pregnancy tests.
In addition, Labcorp’s Pixel by Labcorp Covid-19 PCR and combined Covid-19 + flu at-home collection kits are available through Labcorp OnDemand platform.
It aims to roll out additional Labcorp OnDemand test kit options later this year, through physicians, health plans and employers using their existing ordering channels.
