Kinetic Concepts (KCI) and its LifeCell business unit have entered into a multi-year sales agreement to market Novadaq Technologies' SPY fluorescence imaging system used for additional surgical and wound care applications.
While performing a variety of procedures, the SPY system aids surgeons to demonstrate tissue perfusion in real-time which is required for tissue regeneration and is essential to treat wounds.
Under the agreement, KCI will pay Novadaq upfront and additional milestone payments of $3.0m.
Both companies will also share on-going sales revenues from SPY Systems and the disposable products required to perform SPY procedures.
