Kinetic Concepts Inc (KCI) has launched new VAC GranuFoam Bridge XG Dressing, which enables complete coverage of large wounds requiring bridging, including difficult to access pressure ulcers.

The VAC GranuFoam Bridge XG Dressing is intended for use with KCI Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC) Therapy Units, offers the traditional healing benefits, and allows for bridging of the SensaTRAC Pad away from the wound site and simplified dressing application.

KCI claims that VAC Therapy Systems with SensaTRAC technology are the only negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) devices that monitor and adjust negative pressure delivery at the wound site.

KCI Active Healing Solutions business global president Mike Genau said combined with the clinically proven effectiveness of VAC Therapy, their new dressing may help provide improved quality of life for Stage III and IV pressure ulcer patients during the wound treatment and healing process.

The VAC GranuFoam Bridge XG Dressing combines the extended reach of the VAC GranuFoam Bridge Dressing with the ease of use from the spiral-shaped GranuFoam Dressing for wound placement introduced with the VAC Simplace Dressings.
