IrriMax develops irrigation solutions using a patented delivery method.
Under the contract, IrriMax will supply members of VHA, the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), two national health care alliances, and members of Provista with IrriSept, an alternative to saline irrigation.
IrriMax CEO Gareth Clarke said the 0.05% CHG concentration in IrriSept has shown effective in laboratory testing against a variety of bacteria and fungi, including Staph and MRSA.
"We believe this new product has the potential to improve patient outcomes, decrease hospital lengths of stay and help medical facilities address infection-related challenges," Clarke said.
