Iron Bow, a long-time Vidyo partner, and Vidyo announced product development plans at the American Telemedicine Association annual conference in April.

Iron Bow president and CEO Rene LaVigne said: “The future of virtual care is highly dependent on the interoperability of complementary technologies and strategic partnerships.

“Vidyo’s integration with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendors such as Allscripts, Cerner and Epic, provide both ease of deployment, streamlined clinical workflows and protection of legacy investments.”

Founded on Iron Bow’s successful Clinical Care Device (CLINiC) technology platform, Iron Bow’s vCLINiC will incorporate Vidyo’s proprietary end-point software for use with Vidyo’s hybrid cloud offering.

The system will provide unmatched video quality and reliability, crystal clear audio, incorporating design elements to minimize sound disturbance and ensure maximum levels of unit performance uptime. The vCLINiC offers maximum deployment flexibility as it can be mounted on a wall, desk, arm or cart, ideal for acute, post-acute and ambulatory settings.

Vidyo CEO Michael Patsalos-Fox said: “We’re very excited to see the vCLINiC deliver on a big need in the virtual care marketplace: an affordable solution that optimizes clinical resources, increases access to specialists and intensivists, reduces length of stay and associated costs, and enables virtual rounding and quick and easy coordination on complex cases.”
