Invuity has launched new illuminated surgical devices in order to enhance surgeons visibility during spinal surgeries.
The new line of spinal instruments features the Eigr Saber, a single-use, low-profile, hand-held device which utilizes Eigr technology which brings illumination inside the incision.
The Eigr Saber is used during ankle fusions, arthroplasty, bone tumor resection, cervical and foot, hip, lumbar cases.
Invuity co-founder and CTO Alex Vayser said Invuity’s Eigr technology integrates uniform lighting directly into existing surgical devices, which allows for improved visual access to deep areas, small openings and under flaps.
Invuity products include Taylor retractor systems which enhance visualization during less invasive posterior lumbar decompressions and discectomy procedures.
It also includes Illuminated McCulloch Retractor system which is used during traditional and less invasive approaches to the posterior lumbar spine.
