Innocoll has entered into a license and distribution agreement with Merus Labs in Canada for CollaGuard surgical adhesion barrier.
CollaGuard is a transparent bioresorbable film made up of 100% type I collagen and is developed using the company’s proprietary CollaFilm technology.
CollaGuard is used to prevent postoperative adhesions in patients following abdominopelvic laparotomy or laparoscopy.
Merus Labs vice president Ali Moghaddam said they look forward to apply for Health Canada approval and work with their key opinion leaders to launch CollaGuard.
