The systems are said to offer rapid image access to high-quality portable exams for patients in all areas of the 250-bed hospital.

The X-ray System offers wireless access to images in five seconds, a collapsible column that improves visibility during movement and positioning. It can also be used in tight spaces.

The design of the X-Factor provides flexibility by enabling each DRX detector to work with all DRX systems within a healthcare provider’s environment.

Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital diagnostic imaging radiology manager Bruce Riley said the physicians appreciate prompt access to images for patients in the ER, critical care, surgery and recovery areas, and for bedside exams.

"Our technologists report the DRX-Revolution systems are much easier to position for bedside exams than other mobile systems and equip them to capture an excellent image the first time," Riley added.

According to Riley, Carestream’s advanced imaging software improves visualization of tubes, lines, catheters and other medical devices, which will allow physicians to verify placement and make corrections if necessary.

Carestream Health provides dental and medical imaging systems and IT solutions, X-ray imaging systems for non-destructive testing and advanced materials for the precision films and electronics markets.
