Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital (IOH) has chosen Surgical Information Systems' (SIS) anesthesia information management system (AIMS).

IOH, in addition to SIS AIMS, will be implementing SIS Analytics Anesthesia View, an analytics tool which facilitates anesthesia providers with actionable intelligence to view data from the OR and improve anesthesia work flow processes and operational efficiencies.

IOH Anesthesia chief Joseph Lafnitzegger said, "SIS’ AIMS solution will allow our anesthesia providers to more quickly complete clinical documentation, freeing up more time for direct patient care."

SIS said it is working with its integration partner, Iatric Systems, to provide direct integration between SIS Anesthesia and the hospital’s Meditech OR information system enabling data to flow directly on to the hospital’s core Meditech electronic health record.

SIS chief executive officer Ed Daihl said, "SIS Anesthesia, coupled with role-based business intelligence with SIS Analytics, meets the needs of hospitals like Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital that have a surgery solution and need robust AIMS functionality to complete their perioperative automation."
