ImageWorks, a provider of imaging products to the dental, medical and veterinary markets, has reached an agreement with the Yoshida Dental for the distribution of Panoura 18S imaging system.

Panoura 18S can take a quick pan of 6 seconds, up to a 16 second pan for maximum resolution.

ImageWorks will introduce the 3D upgrade component for a multiple field of view imaging in the coming future.

ImageWorks Sales vice president Marc Thacher said the Panoura 18S includes a lot of technology into a small footprint, utilising a high-end CMOS sensor that can be transferred to an optional cephalometric arm.

”With a user-adjustable focal trough, errant images can be brought back into focus after acquisition,” Thacher said.

ImageWorks will begin distributing the Panoura 18S, a digital 3-in-1 panoramic x-ray system, on 1 September 2011.

The company will have exclusive distribution rights for the Panoura X-ray system in the US, Canada and Mexico, and will also distribute the product on a non-exclusive basis across Latin and South America.
