ImageIQ, an innovative Imaging Software and Contract Research Organization for preclinical research and clinical trials, announced that Illingworth Research, a leading European clinical research organization (CRO) based near Manchester, UK, has selected ImageIQ’s imaging-enabled electronic data capture technology, EDCIQ.

With the EDCIQ technology, they will streamline, manage and enable the imaging workflows of the global dermatology clinical trials that Illingworth Research supports with operational and medical photography expertise.

The EDCIQ will enable Illingworth to centralize and monitor all imaging-related activities, as well as further ensure full compliance with study design and imaging protocols for all of its clinical research sponsors, study sites and partners.

ImageIQ will work with Illingworth Research to custom-tailor, validate and deploy the EDCIQ to meet the unique image capture, transfer, QA, analysis, reporting, storage and data management needs for sponsors conducting global clinical trials for indications such as dermatitis, diabetic ulcers, and acute bacterial skin and skin structure infection (ABSSSI).

Of unique value to Illingworth and its sponsors will be the EDCIQ integrated, format-agnostic image viewer with automated and semi-automated image QA and indication-specific image processing and measurement tools, coupled with automated eCRF completion, database population and data accuracy edit checks.

This provides Illingworth Research with increased image evaluation operational efficiency and improved data quality and objectivity, further raising the already high standards that Illingworth Research has set for medical photography in clinical trials.

ImageIQ will be demonstrating its EDCIQ at the DIA 2015 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, June 14-18.
