Hopital Riviera will utilize the RayStation system as its treatment planning system for 3D-CRT treatments and advanced treatments including IMRT and VMAT.
The order also includes a multi-criteria optimization tool and an integrated package of image processing tools such as automated organ segmentation and image fusion.
The multi-criteria optimization tool facilitates clinician to assess the impact of changing different treatment priorities in real-time.
The system will also include a solution for dose tracking which allows clinicians to monitor radiation doses taking into account changes occurring in a patient’s anatomy during the course of treatment.
Hopital Riviera radiation oncology head Oscar Matzinger said the company is looking forward to start using the system clinically.
