The SONIFI Health interactive patient engagement system will be installed in 1,571 patient rooms across Henry Ford Health System. Hospitals include Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
"We are so pleased to be partnering with SONIFI," says Rose Glenn, Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for Henry Ford Health System.
"This service will give our patients unprecedented access to and involvement in their care management plan, but also provide the entertainment and other support features which are critical to gaining peace of mind during their hospital stay." Henry Ford will begin implementing the in-room technology at its hospital in West Bloomfield before expanding to other hospitals.
Henry Ford will offer patients interactive TV education and communication solutions, including: personalized patient education through integration with their electronic medical record system, patient education completion charting, patient requests and patient feedback tools.
Patients can also access entertainment and distraction therapies such as: on-demand movies, TV channels, as well as relaxation, music and spiritual content.
"There are inherent challenges when hospitals use multiple, disparate systems to improve patient education and engagement," said Bob Sullivan, General Manager of SONIFI Health.
"Henry Ford Health System recognizes the value of a seamless patient experience by using SONIFI Health's full suite of interactive patient engagement tools which integrate with their existing hospital systems."
SONIFI Health interactive patient technology inspires active patient participation along the care continuum for positive behavior change and improved outcomes.
The system is delivered across multiple technology platforms including mobile devices, computers and televisions at the bedside and in the home to improve patient and family experience while increasing hospital operational efficiencies.
