Healthscreen Solutions, a Canada-based provider of practice enhancing products and services for physicians, has signed a letter of agreement with Telus Health Solutions to connect its electronic medical record (EMR) software with the Telus health space platform, a consumer e-health platform.

Telus health space is expected to provide a complete repository of health data for individual Canadians, allowing access and entry of data from all healthcare institutions and stakeholders.

Healthscreen said that the Telus health space has been designed to allow easy collaboration between physicians and their patients via Healthscreen’s EMR software.

Justin Belobaba, president and CEO of Healthscreen, said: “We are pleased to be the first EMR software provider to on-board its application to the TELUS health space platform, helping to enable physicians and other health providers to deliver better care in a more efficient manner.

“Imagine a diabetic patient being able to transmit their glucose or blood pressure measurements from home or a drug store directly into their doctor’s electronic medical record, this is part of our vision of chronic condition management, and the possibilities are truly inspiring.”
