In the field of diabetes testing the company has developed a saliva test for monitoring glucose control in diabetes.
HealthMed Services president and CEO Henry Smith said the acquisition and merger gave them the technologies to monitor glucose control in Type 2 diabetics non-invasively by testing saliva samples.
"The acquisition is a part of HealthMed Services business plan to expand its portfolio of products to include promising new technologies that can be commercialized within a fairly short period of time," Smith said.
