Hatch Medical, a medical device incubator and technology brokerage firm, has signed an agreement with physician inventor Majid Shano (Munich, Germany) to broker his patented, super-elastic orthopedic stapling technology Recover.

Shano claims that Recover orthopedic stapling system is a super-elastic nitinol device with enhanced versatility and is designed to address the current limitations of osteosynthesis surgical procedure.

Recover’s super-elastic nitinol staples maintain a constant force over the life of the implant which provides continuous reduction forces at the surgical site unlike traditional systems.

Hatch Medical managing principal and founder Paul Gianneschi said that Shano has a demonstrated passion for improving patient care, and this passion could not be more evident than in his work on the Recover system and they are pleased to be working with Shano on this exciting opportunity and believe that Recover will provide innumerable benefits to clinicians and patients alike.

Shano said that the Recover system is the culmination of many years of research and work in the field of sports medicine, and he was anxious to realize the many benefits of the Recover staple.

“I feel very fortunate to have Hatch Medical representing me and the Recover system to the medical device industry, and I look forward to their success,” Shano said.
