Hansen Medical, a provider of catheters and catheter-based technologies, is set to display its Magellan Robotic System.
Hansen said it will also showcase its NorthStar Robotic Catheter which is designed to work in conjuction with the Magellan Robotic System.
Hansen Medical president and CEO Bruce Barclay said the Magellan system and NorthStar catheter provide clinicians more flexibility and control through independent distal tip control of a catheter and a sheath as well as through robotic manipulation of a standard guidewire from a centralized, remote workstation.
"This proprietary technology also has the ability to provide physicians important clinical benefits by allowing precise and predictable catheter navigation of peripheral vessels," Barclay said.
The company said both Magellan and NorthStar systems have received CE mark and are 510(k) pending in the US.
