An integrated electronic health record, practice management and interoperability solution to share health information securely and seamlessly

Greenway Medical Technologies (Greenway) has reported the deployment of its fully-integrated electronic health record (EHR), practice management and interoperability solution, PrimeSuite, into Palm Beach County, Florida’s Bethesda Healthcare System (BHS) and its hospital, Bethesda Memorial Hospital.

The company claims that BHS contracted with Greenway in an effort to connect all of its affiliated practices with Bethesda Memorial, while streamlining the clinical, financial and administrative workflows throughout the organization.

Over 12 providers began utilizing Greenway’s integrated and certified PrimeSuite during the initial implementation that took place in November with another 550 providers having the option to implement the solution through an endorsement agreement with BHS.

Along with deploying PrimeSuite, BHS will also utilize PrimeEnterprise to create an interoperable network through which patient information can be shared between the BHS practices and Bethesda Memorial. With PrimeEnterprise, practice managers, physicians and other care providers can securely and efficiently exchange patient information, from small billing issues to critical patient data in a safe, secure and timely manner, said the company.

Additionally, it will allow each of the BHS practices to configure the enterprise system around their specific workflows and specialties while enabling BHS to consolidate individual practice billing operations through its infrastructure.

Along with the workflow efficiencies expected through the use of PrimeSuite and PrimeEnterprise, BHS also plans to gain additional efficiencies through the deployment of PrimePatient, which will allow BHS patients to benefit from the use of health IT as well.

With PrimePatient, patients are able to request appointments online, complete registration and health history forms in advance, view lab results, interact directly with their care providers, request prescription refills and manage their personal health records.
