Greatbatch Medical has been selected by St Jude Medical as the exclusive partner for filtered feedthroughs used in cardiac rhythm management devices.
The agreement, which becomes effective July 1, 2010, and extends through 2017, provides St Jude Medical with dependable technology solutions in a cost-effective manner.
As part of the arrangement, the St Jude Medical’s cardiac rhythm management division awards Greatbatch Medical 100% share of its feedthrough and filtering business as well as 80% share of its implantable pulse generator MRI filtered feedthrough demand.
Greatbatch Medical and St Jude Medical have additional agreements pertaining to other products and systems.
Greatbatch Medical is part of the Greatbatch family of brands. Greatbatch Medical designs and manufactures critical technologies used in medical devices for the cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, vascular access and orthopaedic markets.
