GlobalMed, a manufacture of telemedicine solutions, has entered into an agreement to sell GE Healthcare's pocket-sized, portable ultrasound device - Vscan.

The domestic customers have an option to add the Vscan to their telemedicine program, if they buy or have purchased GlobalMed’s i8500 Series Mobile Telemedicine Carts, as per the agreement.

The Vscan provides black and white anatomic and color-coded blood flow images in real time.

The GE device provides insights of the heart, abdominal organs and urinary bladder and into areas of OB/GYN pleural fluid and motion detection and pediatrics.

Images obtained by the Vscan can be added to a patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).

GlobalMed MD Joel Barthelemy said this arrangement with GE will help clinicians to deliver quality healthcare to patients.
