Infusive developed the syringe technology under product name ChaSyr that allows sequential administration of two separate intravenous (IV) medications with a single syringe, replacing multiple syringes with just one.
The multi-chamber syringe helps in increasing the speed and ease of drug administration, as well as quick delivery of emergency medicines requiring an immediate sequential flush.
It also claimed to reduce the risk of hospital acquired infection by reducing the number of connections and lowers the risk of drug administration or sequence errors.
Global Holdings CEO Merle Ferguson said, "We believe that this dual-chamber syringe technology allows health care providers to deliver multiple drugs more quickly while helping insure the patient receives the proper medication in the proper sequence."
Global intends to introduce pre-filled, dual-chamber syringe into the US market, immediately after regulatory clearance.
