US-based private equity firm GI Partners has completed the acquisition of Canadian healthcare IT company Logibec from Omers Private Equity.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 1982, Logibec is specialised in the development, marketing, implementation, and support of clinical and administrative information systems.

With around 300 professionals, the company provides software to multiple healthcare facilities.

GI Partners noted that financing for the project is being provided by Macquarie Corporate and Asset Finance Lending.

Harris Williams & Co. and National Bank of Canada served as financial advisors and Goodmans acted as legal counsel for Logibec, while William Blair & Company acted as financial advisor, and Paul Hastings and Stikeman Elliot served as legal counsel for GI Partners.

GI Partners currently manages around $11bn in capital commitments through private equity and real estate strategies for recognized institutional investors, and is active in multiple sectors such as TMT, healthcare services, retail & leisure, and financial & real estate services.
