The investment is made to construct a new production hall where the company will use injection moulding machines to manufacture medical plastic systems in clean room environments including inhalers, insulin pens, lancing devices, lancets and disposable laboratory articles.
Gerresheimer CEO Uwe Rohrhoff said there has been a sharp increase in demand for medical delivery systems which are simple and safe for patients to use including injection systems, insulin pens and inhalers.
"We are increasing our production capacity so that we can drive future growth in this market," Rohrhoff said.
