DKFZ will utilize RayStation as its treatment planning system for conventional 3D-CRT treatments and advanced treatments including IMRT and VMAT.
DKFZ has also ordered for multi-criteria optimization tool, which facilitates clinician to assess the impact of changing different treatment priorities in real-time.
German Cancer Research Center medical physics in radiation oncology department head Wolfgang Schlegel said the RayStation stands out as the advanced treatment planning system with interesting features that have the potential to improve radiation treatments as well as the treatment planning process.
