International certification body TUV USA has granted ISO 13485:2003 certification to GCX, which provides medical instrument and IT mounting solutions.
GCX’s commercial products, which are used in virtually all health care settings, include wall mounts, roll stands, ceiling mounts, countertop mounts, pole mounts and various mounting accessories.
In addition, the company produces expertly engineered and customized products for original equipment manufacturers.
GCX marketing director Kevin Merritt said, "With greater focus on enabling caregivers to deliver patient care, the existing high-quality product, service, and responsiveness is extending to new heights."
GCX development vice president Cris Daugbjerg said the certification further aligns the company’s quality management systems with the same standard that is implemented by the medical device manufacturers it serves.
"The additional requirements and rigors of the quality management system create substantial operational and development efficiencies, including benefits that are already realized through improved product quality, documentation and on-time delivery," Daugbjerg added.
