Fresenius Medical Care, a provider of dialysis products and services, has acquired all assets of Hema Metrics related to its Crit-Line system.
The Crit-Line system enables noninvasive optical measurement of absolute blood parameters such as percent blood volume change, absolute hematocrit level and continuous oxygen saturation.
With the acquisition, Fresenius Medical Care intends to establish dialysis product business and sales organization technology as the standard of care for fluid and anemia management in the North American market.
The Crit-Line system helps clinician to improve fluid management with less clinical complications, such as hypotension and improved fluid management may lead to fewer hospitalizations for renal patients.
