F&P Brevida is a nasal pillows mask, which will be used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
The mask features an AirPillow seal that expands to form a pillow of air in and around the nose for a gentle and effective seal.
In addition, the mask integrates VisiBlue highlights, which are subtle colour cues that will help patients with mask orientation, use and assembly.
The company also produces full face F&P Simplus and nasal F&P Eson masks.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare managing director and CEO Lewis Gradon said: “A mask that’s comfortable and easy to use means that patients are more likely to be successful with their therapy.
“The Brevida includes features such as adjustable headgear, a washable diffuser and a soft and efficient seal to achieve this. We believe that the Brevida will be very popular with patients.”
The company will initially market the F&P Brevida system in New Zealand and Australia from this month. It will also launch the system in Canada and Europe.
After receiving approval from the FDA, the new mask will be available in the US.
