The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the usage of Carestream's Vue Motion medical image viewer with mobile devices such as Apple iPads.
The Web-based viewer aids clinicians to conveniently access patient imaging data anytime and anywhere.
Carestream Health Digital Medical Solutions president Diana Nole said their viewer’s ability to interface with many PACS and archiving systems delivers rapid image review for clinicians and referring physicians.
Rochelle Community Hospital Information Services manager Scott Stewart said with Vue Motion they can quickly and easily make reports, images and prior exams available to the dozens of staff physicians, referring physicians and specialists.
"The interface is so easy to use it takes only five minutes to be proficient, and even MR and CT images load quickly," Stewart said.
