The new mobile solution has been developed for pre-operative orthopedic surgical planning and digital templating.

Brainlab orthopaedics general manager Marc Mackey said: "For over a decade, thousands of orthopedic surgeons have been using our TraumaCad technology to plan surgery. In the past several years, mobile devices have transformed how surgeons and healthcare professionals work by enhancing data access and productivity.

"With the mobile version of TraumaCad, digital templating can now be accessed from any web browser or iPad, enabling surgeons to be more productive while also providing access to data for better inventory management."

TraumaCad Mobile app will help healthcare professionals and orthopedic surgeons in carrying out pre-operative planning of total hip replacement surgery from anywhere and at anytime.

The new app will be showcased at the AAOS annual meeting, which is claimed to be the largest orthopedic conference in the world.

It will automatically align implants and assembles components to calculate leg length discrepancy and offset, as well as includes an extensive and regularly updated library of hip digital templates with interactive sizing, positioning, and optimization.
