Italian biomedical company Esaote has forayed into the total body magnetic resonance imaging space with the launch of its new MRI system Magnifico Open.

Magnifico Open is an open MRI system with advanced technology, developed based on the company’s more than 30 years of MRI experience.

Esaote has developed the system using its advanced technologies, and intends to make the device a gold standard in the field of open MRI.

It features Speed Up technology for optimal image quality in reduced examination times, and True-Motion real-time imaging that offers a complementary approach to standard MRI for a more detailed clinical and diagnostic picture.

Esaote CEO Franco Fontana said: “At Esaote we have been working for over 30 years in the MRI sector to reach ever new horizons and 2021 is for us a year with a wealth of new products, confirming our constant commitment to innovation and the development of cutting-edge technologies.

“Today with Magnifico Open we are looking even more toward the future. With our experience and thanks to continual cooperation with many medical and scientific partners, we are entering the field of full body magnetic resonance imaging.”

The company said that its new open MRI system would not only address the clinical needs but also the operational and financial demands.

According to Esaote, receiving coils and advanced MRI technology offers superior quality images, and the permanent magnet facilitates simple installation and low operating costs.

Also, the open magnet and easy-to-access patient table allows for fast and comfortable patient positioning, and serves claustrophobic patients and children alike, said Esaote.

In May this year, Esaote has launched new MyLab X75 ultrasound system that offers access to specific clinical solutions such as micro-vascularisation assessment and liver stiffness quantification.

Also, the system provides zero-click left ventricle function analysis, enhancing the users’ experience across several clinical applications.

MyLab X75 is equipped with advanced connectivity and image sharing tools, which enables the system management in challenging pandemic.
