Minnesota-based Entellus Medical has introduced PathAssist Light Seeker for ENT physicians.

The Light Seeker with a bright light at the tip aids ENT physicians to confirm correct entry to the frontal sinus recess and location of the frontal sinus, helping streamline procedures such as sinus irrigation and endoscopic sinus surgery.

The Light Seeker’s reusable design suggests a frontal seeker, a tool used by ENT physicians to access the complex sinus passages.

The Light Seeker may also be used in conjunction with CT image-guidance or direct endoscopic visualization of the sinuses as a low cost alternative tool to confirm the pathway into the frontal sinus.

Entellus Medical CEO Brian Farley said their new PathAssist Light Seeker provides ENT physicians with a general-use light-based confirmation tool that may be efficiently incorporated into their office or operating room procedures.
