The event will take place from 10 to 14 September in Copenhagen.

Eye One is a portable ultrasound platform, which offers full coverage of all ocular examination and measurement modes.

The system, which is about two-thirds the size of Eye Cubed ultrasound system, can be used by retinal specialists, cataract and refractive specialists, and general ophthalmologist.

Ellex CEO Tom Spurling said: “Ultrasound revenue for the year ended 30 June 2016 was $10 million, up 18% on the prior corresponding period.

“Eye On is an important addition to our product portfolio that will drive growth in this current fiscal year.

“It offers both qualitative and quantitative analysis, and is the only imaging technique that can be performed in the presence of opaque as well as clear media. It is also the perfect complement to our laser treatment technologies.”

Ellex is engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.

The company produces ophthalmic lasers and devices to treat glaucoma and retinal disease caused by diabetes, secondary cataract and vitreous opacities, as well as age-related macular degeneration.
