For distribution of Quix Plasma DR digital detector and Universal Retrofit kit
EDGE Medical Devices (EDGE) has entered into an agreement with New York Imaging Service for distribution of the Quix Plasma DR digital detector and Universal Retrofit Kit. These products will be distributed to hospitals, imaging facilities and medical centers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Bill Haussmann, president of New York Imaging Service, said: “This is the type of practical innovation, typically reserved for university hospital settings, that allows us to deliver superior products at a lower cost to our customers, making DR affordable to a broader range of medical facilities.”
New York Imaging Service recently installed Quix at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
“The installation went smoothly and the transition was seamless with virtually no learning curve for the technicians. Most importantly, the radiologists were extremely satisfied with the image quality,” he added.
EDGE’s Quix Universal Retrofit kit is a turnkey upgrade to digital x-ray imaging for any new or existing equipment. The kit has both single and dual-detector configuration options to upgrade RAD tables, wall stands, U-/C-arm and other positioning devices to DR. Also included is the touch-screen Quix Operator Console for DR workflow, image processing, export, print and DICOM storage. Products in the Quix Universal Retrofit Kit are FDA 510(k), CE and UL certified.
