Echosens, a provider of medical technologies and software solutions, has launched FibroScan 502 Touch for chronic liver diseases assessment.

FibroScan 502 Touch utilizes the company’s Vibration-Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE) which measures liver stiffness at a pre-determined and controlled 50 Hz frequency.

It also provides patient data management with more complete and personalized exam reports.

FibroScan 502 Touch is compatible with other FibroScan probes (S+, M+ and XL+) and can simultaneously connect 2 probes giving flexibility for the patient assessment and also recommends the probe best suited to the patient’s morphology.

The FS 502 Touch is further enhanced by the optional integration of the Controlled Attenuation Parameter (CAP) use for steatosis assessment and quantification.

The company has also launched new software for managing FibroScan examinations which provides ready access to FibroScan assessments on the physician’s desk-top PC.
